My creative journey began long before illustration became part of my life. As a little girl in South Africa, I would sit with my Ouma by the radio listening to afternoon stories — our favorite was Wolwedans in die Skemer — while we worked on a tapestry together. Without realizing it, I was quietly falling in love with the magic of making things by hand.
Creativity was everywhere in our home. Thanks to my mom and dad, I grew up surrounded by knitting, crocheting, painting, wood carving, pottery, sewing, baking, and all sorts of creative projects. But it was my mom’s love of fabric that really captured my heart. I loved being surrounded by the beautiful fabrics in her studio, and years later, that feeling would inspire me to create patterns of my own.

I’m an artist, illustrator, and surface designer with a love for color, pattern, nature, and all things joyful.
Originally from South Africa and now based in Connecticut, I create cheerful, nature-inspired artwork filled with florals, animals, playful details, and, of course, plenty of color. I truly love ALL the colors — asking me to choose a favorite is nearly impossible!
When I’m not creating, I love to travel and discover new places, usually finding inspiration along the way. I’m also a devoted chocolate enthusiast and rarely say no to a warm cup of chai.
Today, my illustrations and patterns find their way onto paper goods, calendars, textiles, gifts, and other little things designed to make everyday life feel a bit brighter.
I’m happiest when I’m creating — drawing, painting, designing a new pattern, or dreaming up the next collection. I believe life is simply better with a little whimsy, a lot of color, and those unexpected moments of delight.
